Ingredients:

For the Salmon:

  • 2 salmon fillets

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Roasted Asparagus (optional but recommended):

  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1.  Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce:

–  In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.

2.  Marinate the Salmon:

–  Brush the honey mustard mixture over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated.

–  Let the salmon marinate for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.

3.  Cook the Salmon:

–  Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

–  Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

4.  Roast the Asparagus:

–  Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

–  Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

–  Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes, until tender and slightly caramelized.

5.  Serve:

–  Plate the salmon alongside the roasted asparagus.

–  Drizzle any remaining honey mustard sauce over the salmon if desired.
