Ingredients:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or your choice)

Instructions:

1.  Prepare the Rice:

–  Cook your rice according to package instructions and set aside.

2.  Cook the Shrimp:

–  Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

–  Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, until they are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

3.  Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

–  In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

–  Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

–  Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

4.  Finish the Sauce:

–  Stir in lemon juice for a fresh kick and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

5.  Combine the Shrimp with the Sauce:

–  Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the creamy garlic sauce until well coated. Let them cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.

6.  Serve:

–  Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over a bed of rice. Garnish with fresh parsley for added flavor and color.
